Columbus Police Department April report

During the month of April 2016, the Columbus Police Department answered 548 calls for service.

There were 106 charges issued, including 18 speeding citations, seven no operator’s license, eight driving while license revoked, 22 drug charges, four uninsured motorists, two careless and reckless driving, 14 registration violations and four open container.

There were 21 arrests, including five felony arrests, 16 misdemeanor arrests, one driving while impaired and three fugitive arrests.

Officers completed 7,392 premise checks, including 130 residences, 7,060 businesses and 202 churches.

The police department assisted other agencies 20 times and completed 225 community patrols.
