176 is pleased to announce many upcoming shows in the area. They will be playing at the new Winding Creek Brewery in Columbus, N.C. (the old Pinecastle Records Building) this Friday, May 6, at 6:30. They will also be playing in Greer, Spartanburg, Brevard, Greenville, Asheville and more this summer. You can see the full schedule at 176band.com.

Tryon’s own original rock band will be playing at Tryon’s Rogers Park on Friday, June 3, with special guest, the Alarm Clock Conspiracy, from Asheville. 176 will also open the Blue Ridge BBQ Fest on Friday, June 10 at 12:30 p.m. on the main stage.

The group was formed in 2013 when Ian Harrod (bass and vocals) met Rich Nelson (guitar, keyboards, and vocals) and Robbie Johnson (drums and vocals). Due to a very busy schedule, original drummer Robbie Johnson had to leave the band in early 2016.

176 is very pleased to welcome Marco Noto of Tryon into the band on drums. The guys miss Robbie and always wish him the best, and are grateful to have Marco holding down the groove.

176 has released two albums since 2013, gotten a good bit of airplay on WNCW, and played many shows in four states. The group is now working on its third record, as they play the new material all over the area. You can hear their first two records and see pictures, videos and dates at 176band.com.

It is not easy writing, performing and recording original music, but this band has been doing it for three years and just gets better and better. Come on out and support original live music, or take a listen and download their music from iTunes and CDBaby. Thanks to all who have supported this band.
