Polk man receives 10 years in prison for child sex offense

A Polk County man received a minimum of 10 years in prison on charges of attempted felony sex offense on a child.

Angel Chamale Iquic, of Old Crowe Lane in Green Creek pleaded guilty last week during Polk County Criminal Superior Court.

Iquic was sentenced by Judge Bradley Lee Letts on April 25 that included 125-210 months in prison, with credit for 658 days, or approximately 1.8 years of credit, according to court records. The sentence includes serving between 10-17 years in prison as well as paying court costs.

Iquic was charged in 2014 by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. He was originally charged with four counts of felony male rape, according to sheriff’s office reports. Iquic was 41 years old at the time of his arrest.

Iquic received a $420,000 bond in 2014.
