Children rehearsing

Save the date, April 19, 6 p.m. at Landrum High School, O.P. Earle students present “Annie Jr.” The students at O.P. Earle Elementary School are busy as bees this spring as they prepare for their first Broadway musical, Annie Jr.  In January the third, fourth and fifth grade students auditioned for the singing and speaking roles of the show.  Thirty-eight students were cast in the roles as orphans, officers, servants and even a billionaire. Tuesday is set aside for rehearsal, although the students are spending quite a bit of time at home memorizing lines and working on their expression.

The cast of Annie Jr. is partnering up with the Student Council at O.P. Earle to make a difference in our community.  Admission to the show is free, however we are asking for audience members to consider making a donation of items for the Hope Center for Children in Spartanburg. We will have collection boxes at the entrance of the auditorium where patrons can drop off donations.
