Andy Millard’s campaign announced on Friday that they posted a record fundraising quarter in the first three months of 2016. Millard for Congress raised $52,533 in the first fundraising quarter of the year. Since announcing his candidacy in March 2015, the campaign has raised $158,463.

The campaign attributes the significant increase in fundraising to Andy’s uncontested nomination in the Democratic primary. Millard is through to the general election and will face the winner of the four-way Republican primary.

“Andy has now won two Democratic primaries in this election and the party is squarely behind him in this fight. Our posting a record fundraising quarter proves that we are here to stay. Voters are fed up with Congress and fed up with the incumbent. Patrick McHenry’s luck has run out,” said Campaign Manager Andrew Sowders.

Andy Millard is the Democratic nominee for Congress in North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District. Millard is a financial planner, former schoolteacher and principal, and active member of numerous community organizations.
