Students to perform at Music in Landrum, March 13

Published 10:00 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2016

Music in Landrum loves to present young classical musicians, and this Sunday, we are thrilled that five of the esteemed Dr. Eun-Sun Lee’s students will perform some of the most beautiful, and recognizable, pieces. These young musicians are very special. They will have concert pianist Dr. Elizabeth Child as their guest accompanist. Both Dr. Child and Dr. Lee are graduates of The Juilliard School.

Ivana Carlson of Tryon, Julian and Ian Chong of Greer, Phoebe Propst of Asheville and Katelyn Hammel of Waynesville will each perform individually. The 50-minute program, without intermission, includes Handel, Charles Dancia, Mozart, Kreisler, and a big favorite to close the program, Bach’s Partita #3!

The concert is Sunday, March 13, at 3 p.m., at Landrum United Methodist Church. We are making extra chocolate violins after we ran short with the fantastic crowd for the Parrini Trio.

CDs of the Parrini Trio performance will be available on Sunday.
