Lori Storie-Pahlitzsch

Lori Storie-Pahlitzsch, 67, departed this life and joined the angel choir on Feb. 15, 2016.

She was the beloved daughter of Hallard Benjamin Storie and Florence Gilbert Storie. The love of her life, her husband Robert Pahlitzsch, passed away in 1996. They were fortunate enough to travel and explore many places of our world.

Lori was born and raised in Polk County, N.C. She studied piano and voice under the guidance of Ramona Rhodes. Her many talents served her well as she was asked to perform in her classes at Bob Jones Academy, Converse College, Furman University, and her studies in France. She enjoyed doing readings for Warren Wilson College as well.

Her professional life was spent teaching for the Greenville County School System. In that capacity, she helped develop the curriculum for the School of the Arts. Her passion was writing, especially poetry, and her work was published numerous times.

Nature was always such a pleasure in her life and she became a master gardener in her spare time. Lori blessed her friends with unwavering love and support. Her sweet nature never left her.

Surviving is one aunt, Martha Foster of Union, S.C., a brother-in-law Kurt Pahlitzsch (Linda), a nephew Kurt Pahlitzsch, a niece Karen P. Hyland and a host of cousins.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
