Have you ever heard the gospel stories about Jesus healing people and wished such healing still happened? It does! There are even training courses that teach people how to do what Jesus did through healing prayer.

Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Tryon, N.C. is offering a School of Healing Prayer, Level One course in March and April, using the curriculum developed by Christian Healing Ministries (christianhealingmin.org).

The course will begin with a weekend intensive program Friday, March 4 from 4 -8:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 5 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The balance of the course will be held on six Thursday evenings ending April 28.

This course is open to any Christian who has an interest in discovering how Jesus’ healing ministry is thriving in 2016. It is nondenominational and scripture based.

Facilitators for the course are Donna Rose, a psychologist who has completed all of CHM’s Schools of Healing Prayer and who has integrated healing prayer into her psychology practice; Happy McLeod who was trained by the founders of CHM and has led prayer teams and healing prayer ministries for 20 years in Episcopal churches in S.C. and as Jr. Warden at Holy Cross has been commissioned to start a healing ministry there; and Daniel Garvin, a psychotherapist who has also completed all of CHM’s Schools. Father Mickey Mugan, rector of Holy Cross, will provide spiritual support for the course.

There is no charge for the course. Participants have the option of purchasing a course manual, and a donation is requested to cover the costs of meals on March 4 and 5.
