Randy “ Wade” Wilson, 61, of Mill Spring, N.C., died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, S.C.

Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Robert and Nellie Wilson. Wade was known to many as the “Lawn Mower Man.” He served as a Deacon and was a member of Bear Creek Bible Baptist Church. Wade loved spending his time fishing, going to auctions and visiting pawn shops.

Wade is survived by a brother, J.D. Wilson (Marie) of Mill Spring; a niece, Kim Capps (Todd) of Hermitage, Tenn.; and two nephews, Tim Wilson (Donna) of Union Mills, N.C. and Matt Wilson of Sunny View, N.C.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Bible Baptist Church, 2960 Melvin Hill Road, Campobello, S.C., with Reverend Sam Shelton, and Reverend Robert Orr officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, N.C.
