The new year brings a new studio for Eating Light Yoga of Mill Spring, N.C. Owner and operator, Tesha Bananda, is thrilled to offer her students a new studio to practice in. “My new space is clean, bright and best of all – has an infra-red sauna!” explains Tesha. “I also will be offering a larger mix of classes to serve the community.”

She teaches many types of yoga including Hatha, Iyengar, Astanga, Vinyassa Dynamic Flow, Anusara, Gentle Flow, Kundalini, Pranic Flow, Yoga Basics, and Community Karma Yoga. In addition to yoga and alternative healing, Bananda is an experienced chef with a background in a variety of healthy cooking including vegetarian, vegan and raw foods.

Classes offered at the new studio will be tailored to what students want. Bandana adds, “We also will offer Zumba, Dance Party, Boot Camp, kickboxing, Pilaxing, Pilates, Tai chi, Middle Eastern Dancing and Yoga for children. After class, students can relax in my infra red sauna.”

Business partner and husband, Lee Emerson, will be helping with this new venture. He will be teaching the “I Am America” courses and helping with the yoga classes.

A large group of friends gathered to tear down walls and prepare the new space for Eating Light Yoga. Carrie Knox gladly joined in to help, saying, “I like giving back to the community and I will benefit from the new class space. Tesha’s yoga is great. And so is her food.”
