Next Friends of Agriculture Breakfast planned for Jan. 20

Published 10:00 pm Wednesday, January 13, 2016

Come out for a delicious, hearty breakfast Wednesday, Jan. 20! The Friends of Agriculture Breakfasts are sponsored by the Polk County Farm Bureau, and will be held at the 4-H Center in Columbus, N.C. on Locust St. every third Wednesday of the month from 7-8 a.m. Each Friends of Agriculture Breakfast features a speaker on areas of interest to our community of farmers and food enthusiasts.

This month’s breakfast features a discussion on the resources provided by Farm Bureau for agricultural communities across North Carolina from Jesse Navarro, agency manager of the Polk County Farm Bureau.

This month, we are asking for donations of mugs so that we can continue to provide everyone with coffee at the Friends of Agriculture Breakfasts.
Don’t forget our community members in need! Donations of canned foods will be collected at this event to benefit the clients of Thermal Belt Outreach Ministries.
