Tryon Fine Arts Center to offer Great Courses

Published 10:00 pm Monday, January 11, 2016

Beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 10:30 a.m., Tryon Fine Arts Center will host a series of educational DVDs from The Great Courses. These programs will be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, January through May. While each of these DVDs has a discussion led by a professor, we have local experts to further guide us in our exploration.

On the second Tuesdays, the programs will focus on Solo Piano Works with a discussion led by Beth Child; on the fourth Tuesdays, the programs will focus on The World’s Greatest Paintings with a discussion led by Tara Brannon. Each session will last approximately one and one half hours.
