To the editor:

On Christmas Day, we set out for a little joy ride in the family’s 55 Ford pickup to check out the Tryon International Equestrian Center. As we were getting off the exit, our little truck ran out of steam leaving us stuck on the side of the road. Thankfully, a truck pulled up and a man was kind enough to fill us up with a full tank of gas, tinker with our engine, and get us back on track all while it was pouring rain. We never caught his name, but we will never forget the kindness he showed us. He was our Christmas miracle and we thank you, sir, for the warmth and love you showed us on that rainy Christmas afternoon. We truly are in God’s Country! God Bless and Happy New Year.
