Fun staff gift exchange benefits local charities

On Monday, Dec. 21, Dr. Dent Davis, pastor of Tryon Presbyterian Church and his wife, Dr. Mary Ziegler-Davis, hosted a Christmas dinner in their home for the staff of the church. Instead of the usual gift exchange after dinner, each guest was asked to bring a gift with certain requirements. The first requirement was that you couldn’t spend more than $10 on each gift and the second requirement was that the gift had to be purchased at a local non-profit thrift store. Everyone agreed it was a fun experience shopping locally, knowing that their purchase had also helped a non-profit organization in the area.
