Hike through history with Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy Saturday, Dec. 12, on a guided hike to Bradley Nature Preserve at Alexander’s Ford in Polk County. Walk along the Overmountain Victory National Historical Trail in the hallowed footsteps followed by a patriot militia en route to the Battle of Kings Mountain in 1780.

Hear stories and history of the trail’s role in the American Revolution from a National Park Service ranger during a leisurely and scenic walk to the banks of the Green River. The Alexander’s Ford property, which hosts nearly two miles of the historic trail, was forever protected by a CMLC conservation easement in 2011.
