Polk County District Court results for Nov. 25

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, with Judge Emily Cowan presiding, 76 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Melinda Schweizer Buss was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Buss was to pay court costs.

Danielle M. Dangelo was convicted of breaking or entering and second-degree trespass. Dangelo was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit and court costs.

Kacy Denise Gosnell was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Gosnell was to pay court costs.

Christopher L. Griffin was convicted of financial card theft. Griffin was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, 24 hours of community service, and court costs.

Tony Clint Jackson was convicted of open container of alcohol violation. Jackson was to pay court costs.

Holly Joanna Mathis was convicted of speeding 34 mph in a 25 mph zone. Mathis was fined $56 and court costs.

Jose M. Medinaramirez was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Medinaramirez was fined $100 and court costs.

Connie April Painter was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Painter was to pay court costs.

Taliaferro J. Petoia was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Petoia was fined $60 and court costs.

Stephanie Lynn Poole was convicted of simple assault. Poole was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.

Steven Javar Williams was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Williams was sentenced to six days in jail with credit.
