The Landrum High School Theatre Department invites the community to attend an evening full of down-home humor, fun-loving characters, and family friendly entertainment with “The Beverly Hillbillies,” Dec. 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. at Landrum High School Auditorium. Starting in the Clampett’s mountain cabin in the Ozarks, the play follows them through the discovery of oil, their improbable invasion of the high falutin’ Beverly Hills society and the absurd adventures and ridiculous romances they encounter there. They and the people they meet in “Californy” provide memorable characters, you won’t soon forget. Join Kamryn Trout as Ellie May, McKenzie Quinn as Granny, Hayden Scoggins as Jed Clampett, and on the floor, Jhonatan Alviar as Ellie Mae’s beau, plus a whole cast of fun-loving characters for an evening of hillbilly hilarity.
