Fundraiser established for Tryon police chief’s daughter

Accounts have been set up for fundraising efforts for Jessica Arrowood Dalton, the daughter of Tryon Police Chief Jeff Arrowood who was the victim of a gunshot on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Rutherford County.

Residents can go to the TD Bank in Tryon and donate to the Jessica Arrowood Dalton Fund. There is also a GoFundMe account set up online at www.gofundme.com/daltonfamily4.

Dalton, 25, is still in critical condition at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after being shot in Forest City. Dalton was an innocent bystander at the home of a friend when she was struck with a bullet to the neck while in the bathroom.

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating with Sheriff Chris Francis saying Dalton was shot by what appeared to be a rifle caliber bullet in her neck.

There have been no arrests yet in the shooting.

Dalton is married to Chris and has two children, Katelynn and Kylee.
