Columbus Police Department collecting relief supplies for South Carolina flood victims

The Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in collecting much needed supplies for relief efforts in support of the victims of the massive and devastating flooding last weekend in South Carolina.

The Columbus Police Department will be accepting donations during business hours at the Columbus Police Department, located at 117 Walker St., Columbus, N.C. The collected items will be taken to Columbia, S.C. to be distributed to those in need.

The first expected delivery will be on the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015. The items that have been specifically requested are bottled water, disposable plates, cups, napkins, and utensils. Please ensure that all items are new and sealed.
