AAUW to host tea, authors Ann B. Ross, Mary Ann Claud

The Tryon Branch of the American Association of University Women will host the fifth annual Porcelain, Poetry and Prose, a fundraising scholarship tea, in support of local high school Clemson Summer Scholars and the Eileen White scholarships.
The tea will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at Sunnydale in Tryon. Enjoy an afternoon of sweets and savories and fabulous teas. The tea is by reservation only and seating will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Speakers include the nationally known author Ann B. Ross whose popular Miss Julia series is widely read throughout the country and local author Mary Ann Claud who will share her insight into Southern life with her book, Dancin’ Man.
