Polk County District Court results for Sept. 23

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 100 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
James Leland Bante II was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Bante was fined $40 and court costs.
Anahi Basurtonieto was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Basurtonieto was fined $40 and court costs.
Heather S. Bratton was convicted of misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance and resisting public officer. Bratton was sentenced to one year supervised probation and court costs.
Kara Jeanne Decoste was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor probation violation. Decoste’s probation was terminated with the sentence modified to eight days in jail.
Lisa Ann Fortner was convicted of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance and simple possession of schedule II controlled substance. Fortner was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
Jerry Wayne Gaddy Jr. was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Gaddy was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
Kelly A. Joanis was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Joanis was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Jamie Lynn McSwain was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. McSwain was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Richard Lee O’Shields was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. O’Shields was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $25 fine and court costs.
Lila Corine Pack was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Pack was to pay court costs.
Jose Ramirez-Hernandez was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Ramirez-Hernandez was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Jonathan Tyler Reimer was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Reimer was fined $30 and court costs.
David William Snyder was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Snyder was fined $40 and court costs.
Jenna Diann Tasker was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Tasker was fined $40 and court costs.
Richard William Turner was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Turner was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $25 fine and court costs.
