Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids’ Sake will be on Saturday, Oct. 31, a Halloween Bowl. It will be simple to remember the date, so no excuses not to join this signature fundraiser from 12-2 p.m.

Encapsulating community and business support for the organization in a fun-filled experience for participants, the success of the event allows BBBS to match and support many more children with caring adult mentors. Sponsors cover the costs of the event, allowing all the money raised through pledges to go towards mentoring programs for area youth.

Polk County’s Bowl For Kids’ Sake is held at Autumn Lanes in Forest City, a venue which is a big hit with bowlers. Along with area friends, service clubs, organizations, and businesses, many of our Bigs and Littles join in annually on sponsored bowling teams. Each bowler gets shoes, two games, a T-shirt, pizza and drinks. Wonderful awards donated by area artists and businesses go to team members who raise the most funds, and everyone has a chance at great door prizes.  Bowlers in costume will have a chance to win the Halloween costume contest, so think up a team theme and bowl us over with your creative genius!

Team packets will be available the first week of October.
