Tryon Town Council approved a proclamation during its Sept. 15 meeting in recognition of CROP Hunger Walk Day on Oct. 18 in Tryon. CROP Hunger Walks have raised over $200 million for people around the work and each year help more than 3,200 local food pantries, food banks and meal sites in the United States provide food to neighbors in need, including the Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry.
