Joseph Edward Robison, III, 73, of Columbus, N.C. passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born in Atlanta, Ga., he was the son of the late Lt. Col. Joseph Edward Robison, Jr. and Mary Deal Few Robison. Mr. Robison was a member of Tryon United Methodist Church. He loved woodworking and playing golf.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph E. Robison, IV.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Linda Lee Robison; two grandchildren, Cameron Moore (Bryson) and Savannah Robison (Chris Perry); two great-grandchildren, Aydin Moore and Logan Perry; three sisters, Joan Poole, Lynne Hipp (Tom) and Evie Gibson. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015 in Tryon United Methodist Church, Tryon, NC with Pastor Phillip Hurst officiating.
