For the month of August 2015, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office answered 739 calls for service.

There were eight felony arrests, 27 misdemeanor arrests, 10 citations issued, 82 civil papers served and 19 criminal papers served.

Officers completed 940 house checks, 2,944 business checks, 1,436 church checks and assisted, public 14 times and patrolled 25,552 miles.

The Polk County Jail booked a total of 108 inmates, including 72 males and 36 females.
