The Town of Columbus joined Polk County, Saluda and others by approving a resolution against Duke Energy’s transmission lines being located through Polk County.

Columbus Town Council met Thursday night, Aug. 20 and approved the resolution.

The Town of Tryon had on its agenda a similar resolution during its Tuesday night meeting but did not approve the resolution. Tryon instead is asking Duke Energy for a meeting to discuss the plan.
