The Polk County Board of Commissioners presented a resolution at the Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg on Aug. 7 in honor of Polk County’s Bryant H. Womack, who received the Medal of Honor for valor in the Korean War. The Womack building in Columbus, named after Womack, has a portrait of Womack in the lobby.
