The Gospel Express Ministries building in Columbus is undergoing renovations to add more offices, storage space and a new conference room to the facility. According to Bible Course Coordinator Merlin Troyer, the current building is “bursting at the seams with putting office staff and personnel at every corner.”
Phase one of the renovation project began on May 28 and includes a 12-foot-by-46-foot addition to the building and is expected to be completed this November. Upon completion of the first phase of construction, a second phase will begin to place a separate building behind the main office to add more storage space, Bible course classrooms and housing for vacationing church groups and parents.
The main office building was originally built in 1999 as a branch off of the Gospel Express’ main headquarters in Lancaster, Penn. When the Pennsylvania office closed soon after construction of the office in Columbus, everything associated with the ministry moved to North Carolina and more space in the office is now needed to expand their operations.
The Gospel Express Ministries office in Columbus is seeking laborers, materials and donations for completion of the first phase of construction. Approximately $15,000 is needed to complete the office addition.
