Crossfire co-founders Jamie Johnson and Randy Shepherd will be in Landrum holding their 25th annual basketball camp. Shepherd, who played at UNC Asheville, started the camp in 1991. Johnson, a Gardner-Webb alumnus, joined Crossfire two years later.

The half-day camp will take place at Gowensville Baptist Church on Monday, June 29, and continue through Thursday, July 2. Boys and girls ages 6 through 12 are invited to learn basketball fundamentals and hear testimony from Johnson, Shepherd and others.

Crossfire is based in Asheville, N.C. but travels throughout the western North Carolina and Foothills areas.

More than 14,000 boys and girls, ages 6-18, have attended in the previous 24 years. The non-profit camp focuses on growing youth basketball players through drills while teaching Christian principals, according to Shepherd. The camp staff regularly features high school and college coaches, as well as current and former college basketball players.
