Town hall meeting or kangaroo court?

To the editor:

Bruce Campbell, where do you get off on calling the meeting residents had with Erny Williams a kangaroo court? You weren’t even there so you have no idea and that’s a fact!

Also you said it was not a town hall meeting because you weren’t invited. That’s your own fault as Saluda city officials knew of it, most all local downtown businesses knew about it. Heck, even members from your church knew about it.

I guess you are not as attuned to the goings on in Saluda as you should be since you stood up and addressed the city council at their last meeting to give your opinion on the town hall meeting. There were town people, business owners, an ex-mayor, ex-commissioners, law enforcement, church-goers from your church and legal professionals in attendance.

So to educate you, please see the Webster definition of town hall. Town hall: noun. A public hall or building, belonging to a town, where the public offices are established, the town council meets, the people assemble in town meeting, etc.
