With thousands in attendance, the Tryon International Equestrian Center held an event-filled grand opening on June 6. The United States Special Forces Parachute Team delivered the American flag to an arena filled with equestrian fans from all over the world, as Grammy-winner Lee Greenwood performed “God Bless the USA.” The following $210,000 grand prix featured international riders of all ages, with the winner being presented the Governor’s Cup by special guest N.C.
