Bettie Crawford, age 71, of Union Mills, N.C., died May 9. She is survived by her children Alicia Norville (Billy) of Union Mills, N.C., Leslie Givens (Tom) Forest City, N.C., Wesley Crawford (Dianne Fontenoy) of Polk County; siblings Glenda Clements (Bruce) of Rutherfordton, Denise Arrowood (Dale) of Rutherfordton, Danny Ramsey (Nancy) of Rutherfordton, and Charles Ramsey (Maxine) of Greenville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Services were held May 12.
