Arthur E. Covil

Arthur Earl Covil, 72, of Pea Ridge Community, N.C. passed away, Tuesday, May 12, 2015 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Tryon, N.C., he was the son of the late Richard Earl and Orphia Robinson Covil. Mr. Covil retired from Polk County Schools as maintenance supervisor, a licensed plumber and had a passion for cattle farming. He was also a retired Columbus fireman. Mr. Covil was a member of Pea Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jody Covil and numerous half brothers and sisters.

Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Linda Phillips Covil; one daughter, Kelli Duncan (Mike) of Pea Ridge, N.C.; two brothers, Charles Covil and Hugh Covil both of Columbus, N.C.; four grandchildren, Joshua Collins, JodiAnn Duncan, Luke Duncan and Samantha Duncan.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 in Pea Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Joshua Lathan and Dr. Jeff Parker officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service in Pea Ridge Baptist Church.
