Parintha Murdoch

Parintha Wanda Pack Murdoch, 92, of Boiling Springs, S.C., fell asleep in death on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born June 7, 1922, in Polk County, Columbus, N.C., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mae Smith Pack, and was formerly married to the late Robert W. Murdoch, Sr.
A graduate of Polk Central High School, Mrs. Murdoch attended Citizens Preparatory Institute. She was a member of North Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and an expert seamstress at McCalls Men’s Store and Greenwald’s.
Survivors include her son, Robert “Bob” W. Murdoch, Jr. (Martha) of Boiling Springs, S.C., and Wallace B. Murdoch (Carolyn) of Spartanburg, S.C.; four grandchildren, Beth Dawson (Scott), Brian Murdoch (Melissa), Brent Murdoch (Jennifer), and Jessica McDonald (John); five great-grandchildren, Chandler Dawson, Chase Dawson, Chloe Dawson, Gavin Murdoch, and Lauren Murdoch; and sister-in-law, Mildred Pack of Columbus, N.C. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Hoyt Pack and Ervin Pack.
Mrs. Murdoch joyfully served for nearly 70 years as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. While her physical strength waned over time, her spiritual strength, faith and devotion to God only grew stronger. She was a fine example to us all.
Visitation will be 1-1:45 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015, at North Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses with funeral services following at 2 p.m., conducted by Mr. David Allison and Mr. Roger Allison. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, 626 W. Mills St., Columbus, N.C.
