Linda Dianne McKinney Edney, 68, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in her home in Pacolet Valley with her family by her side after a 35-year courageous battle against M.S.

She was the daughter of the late William Lee and Bessie Mae McKinney. Dianne was the wife of her high school sweetheart, James R. Edney for over 50 years. She was a 1964 graduate of Tryon High School. Dianne was a retired medical secretary for the late Dr. Roy Morgan and Dr. Charles Blomeley. She was a member of Sandy Plains ARP church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are: three children, Carmen Lee (John) of Union, S.C., Kim Mosley (Mark), of Chesnee, S.C., and James Lamar Edney (Nancy) of Chesnee, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, Elise Lee, J.T. Lee (Hannah), Max Mosley, Reagan Mosley, Julia Mosley, Tessa Mosley, James Thomas Mosley, Katherine Mosley, Jordan Edney, and Heatherly Edney. Dianne was predeceased by her brother, Carroll McKinney.

The family would like to thank Hospice and their staff, Rachel, Le, Beth, Mary, and Linda for their kindness. Special friends include Linda and Donald Hardin, and Julie Foy, who faithfully ministered to Dianne for over 20 years. The family would also like to especially thank Dr. Juliette Saad for her care and compassion for Dianne for the last 14 years as her neurologist.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Lee, Rev. Jim Mitchell, and Rev. Greg Hamer officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
