Verna Luevinna Thompson Lookadoo passed away on April 12, 2015 after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Lora Mae Thompson, a son, Danny L. Lookadoo, three sisters, Velma Cantrell, Virgie Jackson and I.V. Summey, two brothers, Homer and Hoyt Thompson and a grandson, Bryan Lookadoo.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Lookadoo; sons Allen (Brenda) Lookadoo, James (Barbara) Lookadoo and Rick (Belinda) Lookadoo; three sisters, Geradline McMinn, Nannie Parris and Doris Sexton; eight grandchildren Zita Steen, Sonya (Wayne) Harris, Eric (Lori) Lookadoo, Charlie Lookadoo, Ben Lookadoo, Amber Lookadoo, Melissa (Jeremy) Smith and Jennifer (Jay) Harden; 18 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Peniel Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Paul “Little” Beiler, Rev. Shane Jackson and Rev. Charles Arledge. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will be at the home of Rick and Belinda Lookadoo, 374 Jackson Grove Road, Columbus.
