Throughout the month of March student leaders involved in Project Unify at PCMS have been on a campaign to “Spread the Word to End the Word.” Project Unify is sponsored through Special Olympics and it encourages students with and without intellectual disabilities to work together to bring awareness of acceptance for all people.

Project Unify students have been involved in several projects this month to remind students not to use the R-word to describe people but to use positive words such as respectful, remarkable and responsible. Students at PCMS signed a pledge at the beginning of the month to stop using offensive words to describe people and replace them with uplifting words.
