Polk County District Court March 30, April 1 results

In Polk County District Court on March 30, 2015, with Judge Athena Brooks presiding, 122 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Luis Chavez-Baldovino was convicted of level five driving while impaired and driving after consuming under age 21. Chavez-Baldovino was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 in fines and court costs.

Corey James Clark was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Clark was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Abraham Aleu Deng was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deng was fined $95 and court costs.

Travis Thomas Faulkner was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation, felony probation violation, driving while license revoked-impaired revocation and two counts simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance. Faulkner was sentenced to serve a 60-day active sentence with 54 days credit for misdemeanor probation violation; to serve seven-18 months in prison with 59 days credit for felony probation violation and driving while license revoked and 120 days for simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance.

Savannah Grace Gordon was convicted of impaired equipment. Gordon was fined $100 and court costs.

Adam Elliott Gossett was convicted of open container after consumption of alcohol first. Gossett was to pay court costs.

Allie Machell Jennings was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jennings was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs.

Samuel Cook Morgan was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Morgan was fined $90 and court costs.

Ricky Demouli Williams was convicted of open container after consumption of alcohol first. Williams was to pay court costs.

In Polk County District Court on April 1, 2015, with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 134 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Jody Angel Burrell was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Burrell was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.

Thomas Lee Franks was convicted of misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Franks was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Charlotte A. Mayfield was convicted of simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mayfield was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.

Tommy Edward Pruitt was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Pruitt was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.

Terresa Ann Shelton was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Shelton was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Norman Lee Taylor was convicted of felony larceny. Taylor was sentenced to two years supervised probation, 10 days in jail with credit for time served, a $300 fine and court costs.
