Polk FFA annual plant sale

The Polk County High School Agriculture and FFA Program will start its annual plant sale April 1. Sale times are Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and will be open during the Polk County Schools spring break.

Larry Hudson of Inman, S.C. is an annual customer of the plant sale. Hudson and a co-worker, Steve Peeler, both retired from Norfolk Southern Railway and started growing a couple hundred tomato plants. Today, they grow over a 1,000 tomatoes, which they purchase from the high school, as well as okra, sweet corn and squash.
