The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office were caught in a standoff Tuesday, March 31 with a Lake Lanier area man who barricaded himself inside his home after deputies attempted to execute a warrant.

Greenville County deputies were on scene along Glendlyon Circle off East Lakeshore Drive just behind Lake Lanier.

Deputies attempted to serve a warrant for unlawful use of communication to the man when the subject refused to come out of the home, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

Unlawful communication is a misdemeanor, according to reports.
