James (Jimmy) D. Slanaker, 55, of Union Mills passed away Feb. 12, 2015.  He was the son of the late James E. and Margaret F. Slanaker of Tryon.

He is survived by three sisters and numerous friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4 at 5 p.m. at Thermal City Gold Mine in Union Mills, N.C.
