Jessy Taylor of Landrum, S.C. and Jonathon Thomas of Sumter, S.C. are excited to announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be attended Landrum High School and later Stratfort Career Institute, where she graduated with honors in 2005. She currently works at the Tryon Daily Bulletin as an administrative assistant and also at Grace Foothills Church in the children’s nursery. Jessy Taylor is the daughter of Glenn Taylor of Spartanburg, S.C. and Charles and the late Sherry Lou Anthony of Landrum, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Joretta and the late Paul Taylor of Drayton, S.C, the late Marvin and Molly Cox of Arcadia, S.C., and Charles Anthony, Sr. of Greensburg, Pa.

The groom-to-be graduated from Lakewood High School in Sumter, S.C. in 2000 and later attended Central Carolina Tech. He is employed at Wateree River Correctional Institution as a correctional officer and grounds supervisor. Jonathon Thomas is the son of Scott and Linda Thomas of Sumter, S.C. He is the grandson of the late Charles and Virginia Thomas of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Laurence and Helen McLeod of Sumter, S.C.

The couple intends to wed on Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Mill Spring, N.C. with Rev. Jimmy “Hambone” Camp officiating. After their honeymoon, they will reside in Sumter, S.C.
