Polk County District Court results

During Polk County District Court on Jan. 21, 2015, with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding. 148 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
James Arthur Austin II was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation and failure to comply with monies. Austin was sentenced to 120 days in jail and court costs.
Shawn Allen Cox was convicted of speeding 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. Cox was fined $30 and court costs.
John D. Fuller Jr. was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Fuller was fined $50 and court costs.
Nicholas Wesley Jolley was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Jolley was sentenced to 20 days in jail.
Mary A. Ruff was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Ruff was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Teodoro Santia Velazco was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Velazco was to pay court costs.
