Musical Saluda Hometown Christmas planned for Dec. 12

Plan now to stroll charming Historic Main Street in Saluda during the townís annual Saluda Hometown Christmas on Friday, Dec. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy holiday refreshments offered by Saluda businesses and a variety of music from area artists at many venues.

An ecumenical Christmas service will be held at the Saluda Presbyterian Church at 8:15 p.m. following the stroll.

From Dancerís Extension, dancers will perform at the Saluda Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. At Heartwood Gallery, Amy Brucksch will be playing guitar. At Macon Bank, Rodney Gibson will be on the keyboard and will present some songs. James Metcalf and the Colt Creek Band will offer bluegrass and gospel at M.A. Pace General Store. Meanwhile Back in Saluda and Wildflour Bakery will present Alan Dillman and friends playing Irish music. At the Purple Onion, Fred Whiskin and Robert Seiler will be on the piano. Richard and Barbara Sharkey will play Christmas songs on piano at Saluda Gem Mining & Wick Ware. And over at the Saluda Library, you can hear some violin music played by Jan Daugherty, Fiddlerís Fancy.
