Editor’s Note: following is the agenda for the Polk County Board of Commissioner meeting scheduled for Monday, Dec.1. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the commissioner meeting room on the second floor of the Womack building in Columbus. 

There are two agendas; one for the current board of commissioners and another for the new board following swearing in ceremonies of newly elected commissioners.

Appearance Commission Awards ñ Joe Cooper, Appearance Commission Chair, will present the awards.

 

DSS Building Final Repair Report ñ Commissioner Holbert asked that this item be placed on the agenda.

 

Closed Session ñ Motion to go into closed session for the purpose of personnel, G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6), and attorney-client privilege, G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3).

Budget Amendment ñ Sandra Hughes, Finance Director, will present. Motion to approve.

 

Human Resource Director Position ñ To charge the County Manager with creating a job description and budget requirements for this position.  Motion to approve.
