Members of Tryon United Methodist Church put the finishing touches on some of the gifts and decorations that will be displayed at Saturday’s Christmas Shoppe and bake sale sponsored by the United Methodist Women. The doors will be open from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Breakfast is always a welcome feature of this annual event. This year the menu includes a choice of baked French toast or breakfast casserole, accompanied by sausage, hot coffee and tea.

Special diets will also be accommodated with servings of oatmeal and a gluten-free version of baked French toast. Proceeds from the meal and from Christmas Shoppe purchases will benefit local children in need, an ongoing mission of the United Methodist Women.
