Tryon Riding & Hunt Club and the Foothills Humane Society are partnering for the 81st annual Any & All Dog Show to be held on Sunday, Oct. 12 at Harmon Field.  The day will offer a variety of classes including, “Best Costume,” “Best Tail Wagger,” “Best Trick,” “Dog who most looks like his Owner” and many more. For each class, the fee is nominal, so you can pick and choose which classes you want to enter.  For a flat fee one may participate in all of the classes. Any dog is eligible to compete.

This show was originally named the “Mutt Show” and coincided with the famous Wednesday afternoon TRHC horse show of years past. It was created by local horseman Samuel A. Bingham, Jr., and the dog show is a long-standing tradition in the Tryon area. Many past judges have been famous “Tryonites.”

Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. with the show starting promptly at 2 p.m. There will be a Blessing of the Animals and a release of doves over Harmon Field prior to the first class presentation. Plan to attend the 81st Any & All Dog Show, “where every dog has its day.” Be part of local tradition with or without your favorite dog. Contact the TR&HC office at 828-863-0480 or email office@trchevents.org for more information.
