National Adult Day Services Week
Published 10:00 pm Wednesday, September 17, 2014
National Adult Day Services Week is September 14 – 20, 2014. The third complete week of September is set aside to raise awareness of the availability and accessibility of adult day programs nationwide. National Adult Day Services Week was first started in 1983, recognized by the United States Congress and proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan. The week offers an opportunity to spotlight adult day service centers throughout the country and to educate the public on the benefits provided by adult day service centers.
Adult day centers allow working caregivers to attend to job responsibilities with the comfort of knowing their family member is in a professionally staffed, supportive group program.
For individuals who have long-term care insurance policies that cover adult day centers, it can serve as a less costly solution that will help to efficiently use the maximum benefits available under their plan.
Adult day services can benefit employees who are caregivers with a viable work/life solution that can result in a more productive and satisfied workforce.
Seasons of Life Adult Day Services opened June 30 of this year and we invite you to visit us at the Don & Betsy Freeman Adult Day Health Care Center located at 79 Carmel Lane, behind the Meeting Place in Columbus.
