On Thursday, Sept. 11, Jeanie Daniel was honored by the SWHF for her many volunteer efforts throughout our community. Daniel was sponsored by Hospice of the Carolina Foothills where she is on the board of the Friendship Circle and works at the Hospice House cooking for patients and their families. The certificate of induction was presented by Judy Warden (Board SWHF) and Diane Nelson (Director of Development Hospice) at the Green Blades Garden Club meeting held at White Oak’s Activity Center.

Daniel is an active member and vice president of the garden club. She co-chaired Art in Bloom, a fundraiser for the Tryon Fine Arts Center, with Stuart Evans. She was also on the board of Friends of TFAC and on the Hospitality Committee.

Jeanie Daniel and her husband, Bill moved to the community from Hilton Head Island. Both are involved members of the Tryon Presbyterian Church where Jeanie chaired the Strawberry Festival for the past two years and has recently completed a cookbook, “Heavenly Delights”, completed a soon-to-be-released cookbook, Heavenly Delights, containing recipes from Tryon Presbyterian members.
