18-year old and juvenile arrested for manufacturing marijuana

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested an 18-year old and a juvenile this week after discovering marijuana being grown on Melvin Hill Road.
John Picklesimer, 18, of 1000 Melvin Hill Road, Tryon was arrested and charged with felony manufacture marijuana, felony possession/distribute of methamphetamine precursor and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to sheriff reports. A male juvenile was also charged with felony manufacture marijuana, felony possession/distribute of methamphetamine precursor and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to sheriff reports.
Sheriff’s office investigators went to the residence at 1000 Melvin Hill Road to investigate marijuana being grown at the location.
After a search of the property, investigators found marijuana plants, methamphetamine precursors and paraphernalia, according to sheriff reports.
Both suspects were still in custody under $25,000 secured bonds as of Monday afternoon. Both were scheduled for court on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
